Angel has re-released all his previous maps in a new installer format! The maps haven't changed, though. The new installer is a further step in the 'legal' issues surrounding user made content (such as maps) so that you are more aware of what you are agreeing to by downloading these maps.

Original review: this is another awsome map by Angel. This is the sequel to low_grav. this map has two tall floating bases and several spire like objects to land on. This map is really cool to play on. I had fun all by myself reviewing it. I recommend a DL.

Located at Alandra 8, this newly refitted low gravity training ground is used by the BOD personnel for low gravity infiltration, assault, and capture procedures as well as Zero G combat situations. A shuttle craft maintains \"station keeping\" over the training facility and transports trainees to safety before they fall too far from the training facility. Weapons and ammo are scattered throughout the level. However, skill is needed to reach all of them.

Low Grav 2.0 is my 8th map for Raven's Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force. This is a remake of my original map, LOW_GRAV. It seems that LOW_GRAV, as well as my two other original maps (ANGEL_CITY and FEAR) have some sort of a CULT following. I made this map for the fans of the first 3 original maps. I know there are allot of players that play low gravity CTFs all the time.(i.e.. Low Gravity League) Now you have a map designed for a low gravity CTF... ;)

This remake of the original LOW_GRAV is completely new. This is my second CTF map for the game, and I hope to make plenty more. But, this map makes for a pretty cool DM as well... LOL

This map plays well as a CTF, TEAM DM, and a FFA. It runs well with the Excessive Overkill Mod, and I think it makes a nice edition to the BOD arsenal of maps.

Map details include:

• Over 4 times larger playing field then the original Low_Grav map
• Multi-level Red and Blue orbital flag bases
• 4 Multi-level rotating orbital weapon platforms
• 25 swinging and bobbing platforms (That are much harder to get on.. ;) ...)
• 3 Cross type stationary platforms
• 3 jump pads... ;)
• Low Gravity Environment
• A Familiar shuttle over head... ;) ...LOL
• Like the original Low_Grav, No kill zone when you hit bottom
• Secrets? Who knows... ;)
• DM, Team, and CTF Enabled

BOT Comment :

I did not include the *.aas file in this map due to a game error...

Fatal: empty .aas link Heap 

Which means I have a very complex structure in my map that is causing problems for the bots. The BOTS worked even with the error, but it was very annoying. I was forced to pull the *.aas file from the *.pk3 inorder to make the map playable on a pure server. Sorry guys. (eh... who plays a CTF with BOTS anyway... LOL)
Minimum system requirements

A computer consisting of:

• 10 MB of Hard Drive Space
• OpenGL Video Graphics Card (GeForce 2 or better recommended)
• 800 MHz Processor (Recommended)
• At least 128 MB of Ram (Recommended)

If you get an error that reads...

\"Hunk_AllocTemp failed on 262152 with 236264 free.set com_Hunkmegs to 48 to fix\"

...This is not a map bug. Elite force is simply telling you that you do not have enough available memory to run this particular map. This map is Huge! Try to close all open programs, then take your available memory, and tell Elite Force to use half of it for the game.

Com_hunkmegs is the variable that adjusts the amount for available memory for the game. If you have 128MB of ram, try setting EF memory to 64MB like this...

- At the menu, bring down the console by hitting the \"~\" key. Then type \"/com_hunkmegs 64\". Depending on how much memory you have in your system you can up the 64 number. If you have 256 MB ram, you can make that number 128, which will allocate 128 MB of ram for the game.

By the way, reset EF when you change this setting. Type in the new memory settings, then quit the program through the menu system, so EF can write the new setting to the *.cfg file. When you start EF again, it will be using the new memory setting. 

I would assume that some systems may not be able to run this map, due to the sheer size of the visual field. However, if you play with the memory settings, you should be just fine.
