As I was trying to say before OPS ate my review,

I know some of you have been waiting for this map. The cathedral of Mariana is nothing short of a eyecandy. Every texture is high quality and it looks great. The blue base is located at the surface and the red one below the surface. A transporter is the only way to travel between the 2 bases. The blue base has the cathedral and some sort of a shrine building. Some trees and stuff like that have been added to make it an interesting enviroment. The blue flag is located right behind the Deltaflyer. After going through the transporter you'll land in the dungeon of doom otherwise known as the red base. There are some doors that open and some are locked. Powerups have been added behind almost all doors that do open. The red flag is placed at the back. Get back to the blue base by means of the transporter in the center.

I would suggest no more than 8 players on capture the flag and 10 players FFA.

I'm sure I had some more things but I can't remember them right now, oh well.

Installation:

Game story:

An awayteam is send throught time, at the Paleo-
Christian cathedral of Mariana. Their mission is to 
prevent the Borg from assimilate some ancient and 
ocult technologie...

Map story:

About 2 years ago I was shearching the web for 
inspiration. I look at different period of cathedral
architecture. The paleo-christian cathedral of Mariana
catch my attention due to it's size and overall charm. 

The only pictures references was: a few photos of the 
archaeological site (A slap of rock in the dirt, some 
broken pillars) and 2 drawing of the presumed layout of 
the building. Also I read a few articles about it.

It took me a few hours to make it in GTKRadiant then
I copy it to my backup prefab folder and forget about 
it.

A few days ago I return to EF mapping. I make the 
underground part and the surrounding area of the 
cathedral. After testing a fast-compile with bots,
I found the map quite fun and effective with bots!

I push the detail level very high on this one to test 
my skills in mapping, textures and shaders coding.
That's it, I hope you'll enjoy this map as mutch as I 
enjoy makin'it!

Gameplay notes:

- Excellent bot_support on every gametype, even in CTF!

- Don't fly too high with the jetpack, it's lethal.

- Don't be afraid of jumping in the wells.

- Be carefull of the campfire.

- Some windows are broken, shot though them.

- The two big gates are two-ways transproter.

Contruction notes:

- Dimentions of the Main buildings are accurate to the
reel thing. 

- 3 cargo containers come from the Raven .map


* textures and shader coding have been made from 
scratch by Gigon.

** This map features custom models: Impaled Skeleton by 
Oak and some trees by Grimreaper: ''see original readme
files included into the zip file.''

Knownbug:

- This map has been design for deathmatch, team games 
balance may be flawed...

- Bots are good but: they don't use ladder, don't use 
secret passage, don't jump in well and don't try to 
go on the roof.
