Mystique

mystique.zip

Description

This is an authorized conversion of the Mystique model, a character from X-Men, originally for Quake 3. The detail is fantastic, but the animations aren't very good. Still worth the download though.

The installation instructions are for Quake 3, so if you can't find your baseeq folder it's because you don't have one. Stick the PK3 in your baseef folder. :p

Model Description:
This is Mystique from the X-men film. I am afraid this is a very minimalist model, it is possable to play team games as there are skins for bothred and blue, but the blue texture is also the default texture. The mesh is 1108 polygons and there is no LOD the textures are small at one 128^2 and 1 245^2 so despite the lack of LOD it shouldnt grind the system to a hault. The animations are from Paul Steeds bip file, although the mesh deforms well there are some issues with the plugin animations, for example the shoulders become hunched and generraly give the model an unflattering stance. If you can put up with such a minimallist method of model making sling the pk3 file in your baseq3 directory, if you want a honed labor of love then delete this baby.
Thanks to Caro Paul Steed and Hellchick, and of course all at polycount.
