I'm not trying to compete with captain_BOS (so please don't take this in the wrong way; I felt we both had room for improvement). I was actually planning to do more transporter mods if people liked my Klingon one. What we have here is five mods in one; I decided that was the best way to do it. This pack contains an improved Klingon transporter mod (no more Voyager style beam effect), my take on the Romulan transporter mod (similar to captain_BOS, but with holomatch sound support), a Cardassian transporter mod (might as well while I'm at it), a TNG transporter mod, and a canon Voyager transporter mod.
Even though I stated it in the readme, I'd just like to note that I didn't use any of captain_BOS's files. I made my own hue-shifted green beam textures and we happened to use the same sound file because it's the only Romulan transporter sound file out there.
Transporter Mod Megapack ------------------------ By Scooter <email@example.com> Right after I release my Klingon transporter mod, captain_BOS releases a Romulan one. I was planning on doing a Romulan one before he even posted his file. I felt that we both had room for improvement, so I fixed my mod and made my own version of a romulan one. I figured while I was at it, I might as well make more, so I did a Cardassian one, TNG one, and Voyager one. Klingon, Romulan, and Cardassian mods change the color and sound of the transporter beam in single player as well as holomatch. Voyager mod changes the sound of the transporter beam in single player to a canon one. TNG changes the beam effect; the default sound that came with EF is canon for TNG. Installation: Put only one of the pk3 files in your baseef folder. They do not work together, and are not compatible with other transporter mods. Don't ask me how to install this. The instructions are two lines above this one. I'm tired of answering email from stupid people who can't follow instructions. Credits: Hue shifting was done by me. I did not use captain_BOS's green beam textures. The sounds used for single player I found on the Internet on various web sites. They are original recordings from the show. The sounds used for holomatch I made by time compressing the single player sounds using Cool Edit 2000.
