The ETQW Competition Mod contains several new features and cvar settings to better adapt the game for competition and tournament play, where smaller team sizes are common. A list with some of the features of this mod; * Added cvar-based limits for classes, weapons, deployables, and mines. * Added ability to permanently enable XP unlocks such as Faster Sprint, Grenade Launcher, Reduced Weapon Spread, Extra Clip, and Scoped Assault Rifle. * Added pause functionality: Teams can call time-outs, and Admins can pause and unpause the game. * Added ability to toggle camera between killer and nearby medics when unconscious. * Added ability to automatically record demos and take screenshots of scoreboards. * Added ability to scale pitch and yaw values for every vehicle to fully customize mouse sensitivity. * Added "Auto-join" button that joins the team with less players. * Added setSpawnPoint command with several options to allow keybinds for selecting spawn points. * Increased Technician health to 100. * Reduced Radar range. * Increased vehicle spawn times. * Added map-specific changes across the board to improve gameplay for competition (including number of vehicles). * Added various Spectator improvements: o Names displayed above player's heads. o Time remaining on planted charges. o Pressing use while looking at a player spectates that player. o New "spectate" console command to switch spectator players, jump to players currently constructing the objective, or jump to a preset angle and position on the map.

A few things you should be aware of:

- This is an unsupported Beta release. Neither id Software, Splash Damage, or Activision will provide technical assistance. - Since this is a Mod, only Unranked ETQW servers can run it.

The Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Competition Mod allows tournament organizers to easily implement and enforce specific rule-sets and enhances other competition related features of the game, such as ETQW:TV. It does this by providing additional Cvars and commands to both the players and server admins.

These are either issues with the Competition Mod BETA (to be fixed in the final release) or game issues that will be addressed with the final ETQW 1.5 Game Update.

- Trying to playback demos is sometimes causing the game crash
- When a player has selected a limited-availability weapon, the availability is not correctly shown on the Limbo Menu. In the final release of the mod, the value will show correctly and the colour will change to red if it's unavailable (and you don't have it)
- There's no countdown following a Team Timeout
- Windows Vista 64 machines are unable to download the PK4 files from the server
- Area22 map script - The office Cyclops doesn't get removed for the third objective
- Sewer map script - The Strogg vehicles for the first objective will be adjusted
- Investigating an issue with the "Next reinforcements" timer in the limbo menu (when there is no-one to spectate)
- Investigating an issue with the Limbo Menu popping up following end of warm-up (with g_forceLimboSpectate 1 set)
- When g_maxMines is set to less than 3 the mine HUD element in the bottom right of the screen will still display the 3 mines that would be available to the player normally


These will be included in the final release of the Competition Mod:

- Cvars to turn off the radar ability of the Third Eye Camera and the MCP
- Cvars to limit the number of concurrently usable vehicles based on vehicle class
- Cvar to remove ability to fire while leaning
- Cvar to remove ability to lean
- Headshot sound to be moved to localization folder (to allow user customization)
- Locking spectators to a single team (to allow clans to view matches without straying to the wrong team accidentally)
