Description

Both maps are variations of the same basic model. 
Domestic Dispute is a map of an urban townhouse complex run by Armacham. It features 7 main areas: 4 fully furnished townhouses, a park with a fountain, a small sewer network with 2 entry points, and a security office adjoining the park. 

Domestic Dispute originally started as simple 2-6 player townhouse map, but I just kept adding shit on until, eventually, things got out of hand and I had to physically restrain myself to stop! But I'm all better now... 

Anyway, frame count may kinda suck, because I haven't been able to fully test the map at high and maximum detail settings [Still using the venerable 6600GT; may upgrade soon!], but hopefully I'll be able to fix a few bugs after getting some feedback [Hint, hint] from other people. Also, these are the first maps I've made, so cut me some slack-- I'm still learning!

DD_Night --> Night-time map: Looks nice, but has a large number of lights visible in some instances, so it won't run smoothly unless you have a monster of a computer. If you DO consider your computer to be a monster and it STILL doesn't run smoothly, then kharma is screwing with you and you probably just don't deserve high frame rates! ;)

DD_Day --> Day-time map: Still looks good, but has pretty much all lights removed. Increased world gamma levels to simulate daylight, but chose a cloudy sky prefab so that I wouldn't need a light point acting as sunlight. The only area with lights still active is in the sewer, but I never had a a problem with frame rates down there [even in High, I was so gosh darn proud!], so it should still run fine.

Known Issues
-----------------------------------------

- 	Clipping issue with fountain water reflection.
- 	Light bleeds through walls from lounge area into stairwell. Casts ceiling fan shadow where it shouldn't be.
-	Momentary lag when entering sewer for the first time, probably due to large number of transluscent decals. [shouldn't 	affect high end systems.]

Anyone who sends me viruses and worms and other shit will receive a Look of Reviled Derision, so please, don't make me take such extreme action against you!

Installation
-----------------------------------------

Double-click the Installer file [Named DDPInstall.exe] with the pointy arrow thing on your screen and follow the Installer instructions. If you don't know HOW to move the pointy arrow thing, then there's really no helping you...

Make sure you install the file into your F.E.A.R. "Additional Content" directory. Mine is "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEAR\Custom\AdditionalContent" But if yours is different, just change the Install Path during the installation. 

To uninstall, remove the DomesticDisputePack_v2.Arch00 file from your "Additional Content" directory. That's it, no need to change your Archcfg file or nothin'! :)


NOTE: The Domestic Dispute maps were made with the F.E.A.R. SDK 1.08, and have NOT been tested with previous versions of F.E.A.R.! This might not make any difference, but I thought I should at least warn you, in case you're some kind of die-hard freak that only sticks to version 1.00 of any game or something...
