Another great addition to the "artwork" of FragManiac
I had fun with a variety of tactics in this video while attempting to see how the new AI I've been hearing about challenges you. Don't be fooled by the ease of which some of the stunts appear to be pulled off, as the harder ones took numerous tries to do no scratch.
For the most part however, the AI didn't get a chance to implement some of their new abilities like knocking over things to take cover behind as I set a goal of a fairly fast paced run and surprise attacking them seemed to work best, although it does take pretty good timing on Extreme.
I thoroughly enjoyed "playing catch" with the grenades and it's the first video I've actually done that in, you'll see what I mean when you watch it. There are huge sneak opportunities in this map, it could easily be done a minute or more faster. I couldn't resist hanging around and playing with the clones though.
The lighting, shadows, and mood of the this demo is right in step with the original release. I really love the new chaingun and ghostlike creatures, though I'm not sure yet what to call them. At first glance I thought they were the ones Rob Loftus was referring to as shadow creatures in his Gamespot interview.
At any rate the expansion is sure to please all those whom are FEAR fanatics. I can't wait to see what the Church and Catacombs levels will be like. Music is a song called Echelon, by 30 Seconds To Mars. Hope you enjoy watching it, this one came out pretty good I think.
