I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of musicals, but I'm aware of the popularity of them, and more importantly, it's an oddly satisfying fit for the Fallout universe. As such, one particular mod, 'Echo' by modder Kilosandwich, has picked up some press since releasing a few days ago.
It's a musical about employment, which again seems fitting to Fallout's pre-war universe, where employers and employment laws seem to be a little 'dodgy at best', with four musical numbers and 510 lines of extra dialogue added to the game.
It's not just music though, like any good musical it's got story, and as such there's about 2 hours worth of new quests here to fill the gaps between songs, and like any good musical the story will be abruptly halted so that the characters can spend 5 minutes singing about one particular plot element before getting on with things. That's why I hate musicals.
But don't let my jaded opinion on the genre sway yours, with some pretty good music from the likes of Pat Boone and Bing Crosby, all fantastic fits for the Fallout universe, the story itself is quite compelling, as you embark on a quest to investigate a spate of disappearances across the commonwealth.
