There's a brand new faction coming next Wild Appalachia update, and it'll be bringing with it the Pioneer Scouts, a brand new faction that'll give players a pretty decent reward, a backpack.

Carry weight has often been an issue for finance clipboard collectors (amongst other junk) in Fallout 76, so this will be a welcome addition for many, although you're going to have to work pretty hard to get it. You'll also get some new loot by trading in your Scout badges, among other things.

Once you get the backpacks though, you'll be able to fully customize them with colours and styles, and also upgrade them to have more functionality, one example being a refrigerator mod that keeps carried perishables for longer.

The Pinoeer Scouts will see you doing a wide ranger of typically scout-themed activities which earn you badges and ranks that you'll find useful in the wasteland.

The new update is coming on May 7th.
