File Description

This is an interesting premise for a great map...this Single Player adventure takes you, Jack Carver, back to the days before the Far Cry mission! Once you fire up this map, you will find yourself in the time when you were a member of an elite special forces unit that specialised in covert infiltration & sabotage.

This Operation requires a special kind of soldier...can you handle it? If so, read on. It has become apparent that an experimental power station is being developed by the enemy on a remote island in the pacific. We must put a stop to this research. This installation is heavily guarded and has a powerful radar based defence system. As such a large frontal assault is out of the question. However, a single man on board an inflatable boat could possibly slip by unnoticed...

Do you think you have what it takes to get out of this alive? ...You're free to try!

The story so far.....

Long before the advent of the Farcry project, Jack Carver was a member of an elite special forces unit that specialised in covert infiltration & sabotage.
This mission is one of those operations.

It has become apparent that an experimental power station is being developed by the enemy on a remote island in the pacific. We must put a stop to this research. This installation is heavily guarded and has a powerful radar based defence system. As such a large frontal assault is out of the question. However, a single man on board an inflatable boat could possibly slip by unnoticed. This brings us to you. You're the best in your field, we need you to sneak in, aquire 4 explosive packs from the dockyard in the south where they're being shipped in for quarrying purposes, and destroy the experimental generator in the inner compound. You'll then need to escape, there may be a patrol boat in a training camp to the north.
Obviously this mission would be much easier for you the longer you can maintain your stealth & therefore your element of surprise. However, the inner compound is very heavily guarded & you may need to be ready for a firefight!

We'll be guiding you in to a far reaching peninsula of the island group, where the radar systems may not pick you up, so you'll need to find some transport to get you closer to the installation.

Good luck soldier & god's speed.

Known bugs.

For some reason I couldn't get the yellow key card to operate the second switch in the gaurd room, so it doesn't do anything, but it's still there.

Some light flares remain after the explosion, I couldn't be bothered to figure out how to turn them off after the explosion.

Copyright info.

I put no copyright on this at all, if anyone feels like adjusting or improving this level, please feel free to go ahead.
Just give me some credit in your readme file as original creator.
If someone with a high spec machine wants to correct the bugs (known & unknown) & release a version 2, I'd be grateful. I have created this on a relatively low spec computer & as such I'm unaware of some possible bugs or lack the processing power to fix others.

Have fun kiddies!
