File Description

This is this developer's second modification for Far Cry, and he's done a pretty good job with it, however, there are a few bugs present. There are a few nice changes in this mod, namely the weapon damage and ammo count; The skins have been changed as well, making this a nicely rounded mini-mod. See the screenshots for a better idea of some of the changes.

See the readme for installation instructions and known bugs.

Mod Name:	Far Cry Mini-Mod

Programmer:	Uncle Benny

Requirements:
-Far Cry

Information:
Well, this is my second Far Cry modification, and this time I've included a couple of new weapon skins (I got the DDS plugin and stuck it into my CS2 folder so that I could do some texturing), namely seven new skins for the Desert Eagle, a realistic black skin for the M4, and a skin for the M249 SAW that gives it a more appropriately-colored magazine. A lot of scripts are also included that adjust the damage and ammunition complement for all weapons, and even change ammunition capacities and zoom capabilities for several weapons too!
None of the textures or scripts in this modification were taken from other modifications - I did them all myself!

Installation:
Take the archive, "ZFCMiniMod.pak", and place it into "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\FCData" and it will automatically be extracted and take effect the next time you run Far Cry - I recommend that you delete any saved games and start the game from the beginning to fully enjoy this mod!!!
Depending on which of the Desert Eagle skins you like, you can place the appropriate PAK archive into your "FCData" folder - if you want the stainless steel Desert Eagle, then put the archive, "ZDEStainlessMod.pak" into "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\FCData" and the Desert Eagle will have a stainless steel skin in-game. If you want the titanium-gold Desert Eagle, then put the archive, "ZDEGoldMod.pak" into "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\FCData", and if you want the custom Desert Eagle (the matte, stainless, and gold one), then put the archive, "ZDECustomMod.pak" into "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\FCData". If you want the other custom Desert Eagle (the titanium-nickel-carbide, stainless, and gold one), then put the archive, "ZDECustom2Mod.pak" into "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\FCData". If you want the titanium-nickel-carbide Desert Eagle, put the archive, "ZDENickelCarbideMod.pak" into "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\FCData". If you want the blued-stainless Desert Eagle, put the archive, "ZDEBluedMod.pak" into "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\FCData". Finally, if you want the third custom Desert Eagle (matte slide, stainless barrel, etc.), put the archive, "ZDECustom3Mod.pak" into "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\FCData".
You CANNOT have more than one Desert Eagle skin archive in the "FCData" folder at once since Far Cry will only choose one of them based on alphabetical priority.

Bugs:
This might just be my problem, but sometimes your saved games will not show up in the "load checkpoint" menu - you'll need to exit the game and then go back to it and they'll appear again. I also got some minor errors going into certain levels; again, this could just be my problem. If some one wants to re-archive these files so that they work better and re-release this mod, they certainly can - I used WinRAR to archive my custom files into a PAK archive without knowing the compression level that Far Cry likes.
