FSX and FS2004 Armstrong Whitworth AW.15 Atalanta By Jens B. Kristensen Version 3, july 2007. Four-engined, British airliner of 1932. Eight Atalantas were built, and they served on the African and Indian routes of Imperial Airways. ---- Installation: If you own the previous version of this model, you must delete it before installing the new version. *To install for Flight Simulator X: Just run the included setup program. *To install for Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century of Flight: 1) Run the included setup program. When you get to the "Destination Folder" dialog, click the 'Browse' button and locate your Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\aircraft folder. 2) Continue the setup! ---- New in this version: Almost completely new model made with FSDS 3 from accurate scale drawings. New virtual cockpit. Works with FSX as well as FS2004. ---- Gauges: Mostly default gauges of Flight Simulator 2004. The vertical RPM indicators, the throttle quadrant and a few others are by me, with inspiration from MS gauges. Magneto switches and starter buttons are based on public domain gauges by Mike (MoparMike) Wagner, converted to XML by me. The pilot figure is borrowed from the LA-7 sample project included with FSDS. ---- Sounds: Borrowed from the FS2004 Ford Trimotor. I've had to include the sound files because the Tromotor is not included with FSX. ---- This aircraft was originally made with FSDS 2.24, this version with FSDS 3.0. Textures with Paint Shop Pro and DxtBmp. It is freeware and must stay that way. Good luck flying the Atalanta! Jens B. Kristensen, july 2, 2007 [email protected]
