FSX and FS2004 De Havilland DH.91 Albatross By Jens B. Kristensen january 2007. A beautiful, 4-engined British airliner of 1938. Only seven were built for Imperial Airways and BOAC before de Havilland had to concentrate on military aircraft, but the experience gained with the Albatross was used to design the famous DH.98 Mosquito fighter-bomber of WW2. For more details and flying instructions, please see the pdf document installed in the \Manual folder. ---- Version 2.0, modified to work with FSX as well as FS2004, and improved in detail. ---- *To install for Flight Simulator X: Just run the included setup program. *To install for Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century of Flight: 1) Run the included setup program. When you get to the "Destination Folder" dialog, click the 'Browse' button and locate your Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\aircraft folder. 2) Continue the setup! ---- The gauges are to a large extent standard gauges of Flight Simulator, a few of them modified by me for four engines. The RPM and fuel gauges are by me, but with much inspiration from gauges by Microsoft Magneto switches, starter buttons, prop feathering buttons and some engine gauges are besed on public domain gauges by Mike (MoparMike) Wagner, converted to XML by myself. The ILS and flap indicators are based on XML code by Saviero Maurri (Vickers Varsity panel), bitmaps by me. The ILS indicator was modified to make it look more like the ADF gauge from the FS2004 Lockheed Vega, the flap indicator to become a four-position switch as on the DH91. The OBS selector gauge is by Hans-Joerg Naegele, used with permission. ---- Sounds: The sound files are from the FS2004 De Havilland Comet. I have had to include them here, because FSX doesn't include the Comet. ---- This plane was originally made with FSDS 2.24, this version with FSDS 3.0. Textures with Paint Shop Pro and DxtBmp. It is freeware and must stay that way. I hope you like flying the DH91! Jens B. Kristensen, 20. january 2007 [email protected]
