Update for Goodyear's Blimps. Changes the aircraft.cfg to make it more flyable (ballast changes).
GOODYEAR BLIMP FOR FS2002 by Anders Jermstad firstname.lastname@example.org Flight dynamics update 1/30/04 Also for FSX models of Goodyear blimp by D.L. Textures email@example.com This update was suggested by Kevin Bryan with acknowledgement to Bill Lyons and will correct the tendency of the blimp to cruise in a nose down attitude. With this update installed, you will need to make sure you drop ballast and decrease ballonet pressure (full flaps) on take off or you will have an unbelievably long ground roll! Refer to the ckecklist for the proper procedure. INSTALLATION: Simply replace the blimp's existing aircraft.cfg file with this one. The easiest way to do this is to: (1) Open the zip file (2) Extract the aircraft.cfg file into your Goodyear Blimp folder. The path will will be C:Program Files/Microsoft Games/FS2002/aircraft/Goodyear Blimp (Unless you installed FS2002 elsewhere) or FSX\simobjects\aircraft\goodyear blimp (5) Click "yes" at the "Confirm file replace"aircraft.cfg" That's it! The blimp will now cruise in a level or slightly nose high attitude. OR... ALTERNATE PROCEDURE FOR ADVANCED USERS: Follow this procedure ONLY if you are comfortable editing aircraft.cfg files. It is always recommended you make a backup first. (1) Open the blimp's existing aircraft.cfg file. (2) Scroll down to the [airplane_geometry] section (3) Change the wing_incidence value to -3.0 Save the file and go fly!
