We still have a year before Batman: Arkham Knight finally launches, which is frustrating for those wanting to zipline around Gotham City once more. On the bright side, a definite release date is in sight: June 2, 2015.
On top of that, WB Games and Rocksteady Studios are rolling out two separate Arkham Knight collector’s editions, one focused on a Batman Memorial statue, and the other featuring a transforming Batmobile.
Each CE mostly contains the same content. There’s a custom 80-page artbook, a limited edition steel case, the Batman: Arkham Knight #0 comic, and character skins from DC’s New 52. But the figures are the real highlights, each of which would make for imposing paperweights long after completing the game. The Memorial Statue set will cost $100, while the Batmobile will set you back $200.
Depending on your home country and gaming platform of choice however, you may not have any choice. In North America, for example, both collectors editions are only available for the Xbox One and PS4 consoles while the Batmobile Edition is only on PC in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Perhaps that will change over the course of the year, but if you’re a PC gamer who really wanted that Batmobile you’re probably out of luck for the time being.
At least by that point, you’ll be able to drive the Batmobile around in-game.
