It seems that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege will be the next game to add Battle Pass, a system that lets players unlock cosmetics, boosters and new operator lore as they progress through seasons.

The new battle pass for Rainbow Six Siege will start with a free, 7-day pass launching with Ember Rise which will be named "Call Me Harry" - before the full version of battle pass launches when Season 4 starts later on this year.

The system seems fairly simple compared to some games - the more you play the further you'll progress. There's no specific challenges or requirements to progress. Every match played will add more Battle Points that will rank you up to the next tier.

Our intentions behind it is to reward players more than ever playing our game, and also to provide a progression they can work through whenever they're playing.

There's more coming, apparently, and the company will be revealing more when the next season is revealed, and apparently there will be "much more" coming at the Six Invitational 2020.
