Eight long years after the game originally came to Xbox 360 and PS3, Bayonetta has finally come to PC. It's been long requested by the fans, and includes enhancements over the base game, but will there be any mods coming to the game?

The game is available on Steam now for just £14.99 / $19.99 - and includes SSAO lighting effects, HD texture enhancement, enhanced shadows, anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering, all of which combined with support for 4K resolutions, makes the game look better than ever - it's well optimised, too, and runs really well even on PC's with lower specifications.

PC gamers love it already, but there's still plenty of scope for enhancement by the modding community, such as super-HD textures, character modifications, and much more.

You can find out more about the development of the PC version with the below video, which was released by SEGA this past week;

In the video, the developers showcase some of the hard work that made the game possible, as well as the inspiration behind the main character. It seems only inevitable that mods for the game will be coming sooner rather than later.

You can pick up a copy of Beyonetta now from the Steam store.
