Blizzard will be giving World of Warcraft players five days of free play time as an apology for the launch of Warlords of Draenor.

Blizzard announced the complimentary time earlier today in a posting on the official Battle.Net forums. According to the executive producer J. Allen Brack, the company will give subscribers the free time to help make up for the log-in, lag and queue issues that many players experienced in the 48 hours following the expansion’s launch.

“In recognition of the difficulties so many of you ran into when trying to play over the first few days, we’re adding five days’ worth of extra time to every subscription in the Americas, Oceania, and Europe that was active as of Friday, November 14,” said Brack, in his statement. “Things are already in a much better place than they were going into the weekend, so I hope you’ll now be able to focus on having a ton of fun with this expansion.”

Brack would go on to express appreciation for the support “by many of you” as the company continues implementing fixes to improve the play experience for players following Warlord of Draenor’s “subpar” launch.
