Share your loot riches with friends using this old duplication method still available in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. While the dual-wielding option to quickly make copies no longer works, there are other ways to game the system. Just don’t exploit it too much, we don’t want Gearbox bringing down the hammer like Bungie’s loot caves.

How to Duplicate Guns – Item Dupe Guide

Work-In-Progress: Found a new method for item duping in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel? Let us know!

Duplicating guns, shields, or any items returns in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The dual-wielding duplication method has been patched out, but there’s an old way to get around that.

Just follow the simple instructions below to start duping like a pro. Make copies of cool guns to share with friends, or use the extras to make huge profits.

To make this method work, you must be online with a friend.

  • 1. Have the weapon / item equipped and in your inventory.
  • 2. Turn off Badass Rank, then turn back on. This forces an autosave.
  • 3. Trade the desired weapon / item, or drop it on the ground.
  • 4. Exit out of the game. Don’t save & quit. Instead, use the PS or XB center button to exit straight to the dashboard.
  • 5. Return and load the autosave. Your friend will still have the traded weapon while your lost item will be restored with the save.

This is a cumbersome method, but it still works in Pre-Sequel. Now we just need to wait for more clever glitch-hunters to discover new methods.
