WWE’s video games have always seemed to suffer from the same problem – they’re great, but take so long to develop, they’re outdated by the time they get released. Here are five essential WWE 2K17 mods that bring the game up to date with the current happenings within the WWE Universe!

[size=4][b]Updated Raw and Smackdown Arenas[/b] [/size] Just after SummerSlam last year, following the WWE Brand Split and recent rebranding of both of WWE’s main shows, a new logo and TitanTron set was introduced for both shows, along with an updated entranceway and ring.

Unfortunately, WWE 2K17 was not able to be updated in line with these changes, so the old sets and logos are present. This mod spectacularly re-creates the new sets and show branding, and I am sure you will agree is a must-have mod for any WWE fan.

[b][size=4]WrestleMania 33 Arena [/size][/b] There’s no question that this past year’s WrestleMania had one of the most ambitious sets of possibly all time – with it’s creative re-creation of a theme park, and of course, that huge, tall, crazy entrance ramp which was entirely video enabled.

This mod attempts to re-create that Arena, and while it doesn’t quite hit the mark, probably due to technical limitations, it’s a very valiant effort (and likely what you’ll see in next year’s game!)

[b][size=4]Updated Cena / AJ Styles / Kevin Owens Superstar Attire [/size][/b] Mod author JulianBITW has created several updated superstar attire mods, giving John Cena, AJ Styles and Kevin Owens their updated appearances since the launch of the game last year.

These new attire mods are very accurate and are a must-have when combined with the above two update mods.

[b][size=4]NXT – Bobby Roode Mod[/size] [/b] One of the hottest stars in WWE’s developmental brand, NXT, is Bobby Roode, who was previously well known as a star over at rival TNA Impact Wrestling.

This mod adds Roode to the game with great detail, but in addition to new attire, it includes his entire entrance, entrance music and TitanTron video, and it’s Glorious, oh so Glorious.

[b][size=4]Undertaker’s WrestleMania 33 Attire[/size][/b]

History was made at WrestleMania 33, when The Undertaker faced Roman Reigns in the main event of the show. The Undertaker was defeated, and a curtain was brought down on a 25+ year career. You can now re-live this historic moment by installing this mod, which, when combined with the WrestleMania 32 mod above.
