Posted on March 22, 2013, Devin Connors Buy Turtle Beach Gear At PAX East, Get More Free Gear Back
Turtle Beach has come a long way from their entry-level sound card days, transforming itself into one powerhouse of a headset manufacturer.
Released in late 2012, the Seven series of TB headsets is getting an aesthetic addition this week — custom speaker plates. Available online for $19.99, the new speaker plates come in four colors: Blueprint, Camoflauge, Midnight and Supernova. While the lack the artistic flair of similar plates found on the ASTRO A30s and A40s, it’s a good start to an addition that should blossom nicely later in 2013 (the sooner we get game-specific plates, the better).
That’s the good news. The great news is for PAX East attendees interested in buying TB gear. If you stop by the Turtle Beach booth during the show and buy a Seven series headset, you’ll receive a special edition Boston speaker plate for the low, low cost of $0. The Seven series gear, along with everything else in the booth, is 10 percent off during the show. I was told by Turtle Beach PR that some people who buy Seven series gear online might receive the special Boston tag as well, but it depends on supply after PAX is over.
If you’re not interested in the Seven series, but end up buying a different model headset at the show, Turtle Beach is throwing in an M1 mobile system for free…a BOGO deal of sorts. Huzzah for free stuff!
