Caliber, a new FPS by Wargaming, is coming to Gamescom

By FileTrekker 4 years ago, last updated 4 years ago

Wargaming, the developers behind popular free military titles such as War Thunder and World of Tanks, will be showing off their new first person shooter, named Caliber, at Gamescom this year.

The game will be the first foray away from vehicle based combat to a first person shooter style of game, featuring battles against AI enemies and 4v4 PvP game modes, with players taking on specific roles within their unit.

There will be various different unit types, such as Navy SEALs, each with their own appearances and loadouts, with each unit containing Assault, Support, Medic or Snipers as available roles.

The game will focus on tactical gameplay, and something you'll want to play with friends rather than alone.

There's no release date confirmed yet, but it will be free-to-play much like Wargaming's other titles. As for what will be special about it, if anything, we don't know, but hopefully we'll find out more at Gamescom.
