Capcom recruiting testers for a new Resident Evil

By FileTrekker 4 years ago, last updated 4 years ago

It appears that Capcom are currently developing a new entry to the Resident Evil series, as they've invited a select group of fans to test it next month, according to an e-mail that has been sent to "Resident Evil Ambassadors", a fan program that is exclusive to Japan.

The e-mail, which has been translated from Japanese to English by fan site Biohaze, apparently states that the developers, Capcom Division 1, are "we are letting you know that we are recruiting testers for a game that’s in development"

If you're hoping to join, tough luck it seems - the testing appears to be exclusive to Japanese fans whoa re members of the Ambassadors Program. The e-mail falls short of providing any details, so we don't know if we're looking at another remake, Resident Evil 8, or a spin-off of the franchise.

Given there's been no official announcements or press, I personally doubt it'll be Resident Evil 8, but you never know. Capcom have stated they're interested in more remakes, and this would be my bet, but until the testing happens, we won't know for sure.

The testing will occur on September 8th or 9th, according to the e-mail, so stay tuned to GameFront for any more information as we learn it.
