Now you can fight every boss from Dark Souls, one after the other, but are you brave enough to try? Fans of the game will no doubt want to give it a go, adding another new dimension and adding further replay-ability to the game, with two unique modes.
As you would expect from any boss rush mod, the main sell is the fact that you can play the entirety of the games' bosses from start to end, without any of the usual gameplay in-between. From Iron Golem to Sif, the Great Grey Wolf, the only boss currently missing from the mod is the Bed of Chaos - one that many will be glad is omitted, albeit for technical reasons.
You can also choose to do a reverse mode, which allows you to start with the final boss, Gwyn, and then work your way towards the beginning. Additionally, you can decide to select a specific boss to fight, rather than having to go through the entire chain in one order or another, should you wish to do so.
To get access to Boss Rush in Dark Souls you need to download the mod here. From there, you’ll need to open Dark Souls, load a character or start a new one, then open the included .exe file. Before you download the mod, however, take heed of these warnings provided by the mod's author, Wulf2k; firstly, if the EXE file is having problems, try running it as an administrator. More importantly is this warning: “Don’t use a character where progress matters. The boss rush will mess with event flags and could leave your character’s world in an unfinishable state.”
So with these two warnings in mind, If you're interested in a Dark Souls boss rush, this one is definitely for you.
