Yesterday, we told you about the PC-specific features coming in Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Today, we’ve got even more news for the PC gamers among you, including a cheaper price point for the upcoming title.
Eidos Montreal has announced that when Human Revolution launches, it will also be available on Steam. Not only that, but it will incorporate many Steamworks features, including auto-updating, Steam Achievements, and Steam Cloud support.
Pre-ordering Human Revolution from Steam will net you a lower price on the game as well. You’ll be able to choose between the standard version at $44.99, or the Augmented Edition at $53.99. The Augmented Edition will include a digital 40-page art book, a “making of” special, trailers, animated storyboard of the CGI trailer, motion graphic novel, soundtrack, and a free download of the Deus Ex Game of the Year Edition.
Today’s release also details the incorporation of AMD features like Eyefinity and HD3D. Add in the DX11 graphics, and Human Revolution is packing some of the latest graphics tech under the hood.
Pre-orders aren’t live yet, at least not from the GameFront secret volcano lair, but you can check out the game’s Steam page right here. If you just can’t wait until the game launches August 23, you can head over and check out the brand new Official Steam Group.
