The record-breaking Kickstarter campaign for Double Fine Adventure currently stands at $1.893 million in funding with 26 days to go, and with all that extra money — about $1.5 million more than Double Fine’s funding goal — the developer has pledged to make the game better.

In a video updating backers of the campaign released on Wednesday, Double Fine’s Tim Schafer explained where that money is going to go: primarily, to casting voice talent for Double Fine Adventure, as well as creating translations in English, Spanish, Italian, French and German, and porting it to multiple platforms. In addition to PC, Double Fine Adventure will also appear on Mac and Linux, Apple’s iOS mobile platform, and on some Android devices as well.

But not consoles. Suck it, consoles.

Backers are also going to get access to a closed beta of the game via Steam. Hooray!

Check out the video below to get the full update straight from Mr. Schafer himself.
