Enderal: English Version Launches

Please wait...

After nearly five years, the long-awaited day is here. Enderal released the German version last month, and the English version launched a few days ago.

According to the authors, Enderal takes place just after the time frame of Oblivion, and acts as a sequel.

It promises fully-voiced characters, exactly as you would expect if Bethesda themselves made it. In addition, the authors promise roughly 100 or so hours of gameplay. Best of all, the mod page states it runs independent of Skyrim, so it should run as a separate game, meaning you should be able to play Skryim AND Enderal on the same system.

The mod page also states that your modded Skyrim will be left intact, so you should not have many problems with your mods.

Judging by the trailer, the voice acting is obviously not professional, but still excellent. The level design, however, looks to be on par with the best modders out there. The writing looks faithful to the Elder Scrolls quality we have come to expect. And the trailer itself is dramatic, and kept my eyes glued to the screen.

All and all, Enderal looks very well-done.

Granted, this just released, so many bugs are bound to exist. Some are known to break mission chains, but those should be patched soon. If you are confident in searching for bugs, and giving feedback, go ahead and give this a try.

You can visit the official website here, and download Enderal from the Nexus page.
