Kingdom Come Deliverance has proved to be a hit, but it's known for it's already unforgiving difficulty levels. It's probably a surprise, therefor, to learn that somebody has decided to make a mod that increases that difficulty even further!

The Ultimate Realism Overhaul Mod adds a wide range of changes to the game which both promotes realism and increases difficulty.
Ultimate Realism Overhaul is my personal attempt at balancing, increasing the difficulty, and promoting the realism of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The mod aims to improve various aspects of the game that were either too easy or didn’t make sense in the vanilla edition. For example, any challenge in the economy of the original game was easily subverted by selling looted armour or high-quantities of deer meat for exorbitant prices. I imagine shopkeepers and artisans of fine wares probably wouldn’t have purchased dented, blooded plate armour on a regular basis. Other issues such as one-hitting late-game enemies and the general lack of urgency in the food/hunger system come to mind.
By forcing the player to consider themselves as weak as a 'real' human, and concentrate on essentials such as eating and having to sleep, adds an additional dimension to the game. Making money will be tough and fights will be hard.

The mod is apparently compatible with existing saves, but it's recommended by the developer to use this in isolation as it significantly changes the pace of the game.
