We've been following the development of Fallout: New California for a while now, but for those who are out of the loop; the mod, which has been in development since 2013, aims to bring an entirely new Fallout adventure to New Vegas, with over 16,000 lines of amazing new voice acting, brand new storylines, additional environments and much more.

The developers have now revealed the release date for their mod on our sister site, ModDB, and that date is October 23rd, 2018. The long rumoured beta will also be available for players to sign up to a little earlier, in July.

According to the update provided by the team, the main quest lines are now completed, which serves as a prequel to New Vegas, but they are still working on side quests and some other elements required. They also admit that, currently, there are no side quests, but the plan is to add as many as possible before release, so expect to see some compelling extra quest lines added within the coming months.

As you can see from the trailer above, the quality of this mod is outstanding, and possibly one of the more exciting mods to come along in many years.

You can follow progress over on our sister site, ModDB.
