Here at FilesNation, we pride ourselves on the diligent reporting of modding news. But we also do, once in a while, report on non-gaming news, such as when a game goes free to play. Like right now. This is a time limited offer by Ubisoft, and it's quite a good one, at that.
With Ubisoft turning thirty this year, they've been doing give-aways nearly monthly. We've already discussed some of these earlier this year, and now it's time to bring it up again. For December, you can pick up the third game in the Assassin's Creed franchise for the lump sum of zilch. You just pick it up, and you get to keep it indefinitely.
Assassin's Creed III is set during the American War of Independence, wherein you take the role of Connor Kenway, son of Haytham Kenway and grandson of Edward Kenway(protagonist of the sequel, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag). Using your ship, the Aquila, and your trusty Assassin skills, you get to travel the east coast from Boston to New York, fighting historical and fictional characters alike.
