UPDATE Saturday, 3:30 PM. Sony has issued an official statement apologizing to Rockstar for the leak. The full statement follows:

Regrettably, some people who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto V through the PlayStation Store in Europe were able to access certain GTA V assets. These assets were posted online. We have since removed the digital pre-order file from the PlayStation Store in Europe. We sincerely apologize to Rockstar and GTA fans across the world who were exposed to the spoiler content. GTA V is one of the most highly anticipated games of the year with a very passionate following, and we’re looking forward to a historic launch on September 17.

In addition, it appears Rockstar has now shut down the original GTA Forums board devoted to the discussion.

NOTE: Everything on this page almost certainly constitutes spoilers for GTA V’s radio content. Read at your own risk, and stop reading entirely if you want to remain tabula rasa for Grand Theft Auto V.

The word today is that Grand Theft Auto 5 became available for preloading from the PlayStation Network in some territories, and that naturally led to some enterprising Internet people pulling the 18 gigabytes of stuff onto their computers and sifting through it. Obviously, the game isn’t playable yet, but it seems as if they’ve managed to dig up tons of audio.

Said audio files include a 43-hour large MP3 of undetermined length (VLC says 43 hours but the file data is wonky) that would appear to contain the entirety of GTA 5′s radio content. Redditor BankerShanker has been hard at work compiling a list of music tracks, though it is obviously incomplete since, again, this file is many hours long.

But perhaps more interesting than the tracks is the stations themselves and the personalities that are on them. Details continue to slip out as people dig through the audio files. Here are some of those details, but be warned, they may be spoilers:

  • A talk show hosted by a character named Dr. Ray, who is played by comedian JB Smoove. It’s a typically bizarre GTA radio show.
  • Mama G aka Pam Grier DJs Lowdown FM, which is of course a soul station.
  • A punk station on which the DJs (there are two of them) are pretty mad about having to run ads and syndicated news segments.
  • “Blain County Radio: the voice of the real America. The America that likes guns, guts and giving wussies the finger.” This is talk radio, but apparently not political; there’s a promo on it for a show about semen.
  • Lazlow is back with a new talk show. Has co-host named Michelle, and they argue a lot.

There’s a gang of other folks going through the file right now, and so as the night progresses more pieces will likely fall into place over there. Just keep in mind that GTA radio in-game sometimes has breaking news announcements about things you do, so there might be some spoilers in there.

That said, here’s the track listing BankerShanker has compiled thus far:

(One of the redditors made a Spotify playlist, though not all the tracks are available there.
