If you're anything like me, you've got your eye on Ford's Scattergun in Remnant 2, and with good reason - it proves crucial if you aim to unlock the Archon Archetype. Have no fear, though, as we've listed the two easiest ways to obtain it;

Starting with the Explorer Archetype

The simplest way to get Ford's Scattergun is to begin a new character and choose the Explorer Archetype. The Scattergun is one of the starting weapons for this Archetype, so you won't have to go through any additional steps to acquire it.

The Quest in Yaesha
If you're already invested in your character and prefer not to start anew, you can obtain Ford's Scattergun by completing a quest in Yaesha. Follow these steps:

1. Reach the Red Throne in Yaesha: When you first arrive in Yaesha, ensure that your starting location is the Red Throne. If it isn't, you may need to re-roll your campaign or opt for a separate Adventure in Yaesha.
   
   
2. Meet the Empress and her Speaker: Make your way through the main temple building in the Red Throne and knock on the red doors. This will grant you an audience with the Empress and her speaker. To make things easier, choose the kinder dialogue options and agree to assist the Empress by defeating the Corruptor boss. This will help you avoid a fight with her guards at this stage. It's important to speak to the Empress before defeating the boss; failing to do so will prevent you from getting the ring, despite helping her.
   
   
3. Defeat the Corruptor Boss: After successfully defeating the Corruptor boss, return to the Empress and continue selecting the kinder dialogue options. Additionally, kneel before the Empress to display your respect. Following these steps will reward you with the Seal of the Empress Ring.
   
   
4. Obtain Ford's Scattergun: Equip the Seal of the Empress Ring and leave the throne room. Head into the library located on the right side. Ascend the library steps, and the ring will activate a hidden mechanism, causing the floor to open up, revealing a basement where Ford's Scattergun awaits. You can now add this powerful weapon to your arsenal and unlock the Remnant 2 Archon Archetype.

Remember, the quest in Yaesha isn't overly challenging, but it does require you to make specific choices to obtain the Scattergun successfully. By following these steps, you'll be well on your way to wielding Ford's Scattergun and unlocking the Archon Archetype, allowing you to take on new challenges with style and firepower!
