The addiction inspired by games like Puzzle Quest is frightening. RPGs and puzzlers are two of the most addictive genres known to gaming, and when combined they create a truly powerful force for obsession. Dungeon of Elements is no exception, and it merges RPG mechanics with one of the most beloved puzzle games in history: Dr. Mario. Instead of fighting illness, however, you are tasked with returning life to the long-floundering Alchemist’s Guild with your puzzle-solving skills.
Dungeon of Elements
Dungeon of Elements is a simple game to grasp, at least to start. You clear colored enemies by matching four of the same color together, which kills them and sometimes gives you loot such as more weapons, crafting materials, or even straight gold. In order to beat a level, you have to clear all enemies on the board. Every so often you will also fight a boss character, who can be matched with any color of pill. You gradually work your way across the Primordiax setting, eliminating enemies and gathering loot as you work towards finding new and more fantastic alchemy recipes.
That’s really all there is. If you’re into the classic puzzlers of days gone past, with maybe a little bit of dagger-stabbing and spell-slinging, Dungeon of Elements will strike all the right chords.
