Lies of P is getting a slew of new content soon with new DLC and a major free update with new features and free content, along with fixes and community-inspired changes to the base game.
However, excitingly, the game's director, Ji Won Choi, also confirmed that a sequel to the game is already in development. Speaking in the "Director's Letter" to fans, Choi stated “our highest priority is developing the DLC and working on our sequel," adding that “the dev team is putting in significant effort, brainstorming and exploring different aspects of the projects.”
Details on the sequel are sparse at this stage, with Choi stating that he wished he "could share all the details with you. But if I do that I would undoubtedly face stern reprimands from my fellow developers," however, there is some concept art shown off towards the end of the video.
The good news is we don't have to wait long for the major update for Lies of P is dropping later this month. The update will overhaul blades and handles, as Choi noted that they "were not meeting expectations," along with a slew of balance changes and bug fixes.
The shovel puppet in Venigni Works is going to be overhauled (and made harder) and the Rising Dodge ability is going to become a default skill in the update. Perhaps one of the most exciting changes for the Fashion Souls fans amongst is is separate slots for facial and hat accessories.
Meanwhile, the team are working on the upcoming DLC, which hasn't yet received an official release date. There's little known about the DLC right now, but we'll be sure to update you as soon as we learn more.
