Lords of the Fallen now has crossplay support and improved NG+

By FileTrekker a month ago, last updated a month ago

Developer Hexworks has released the latest patch for Lords of the Fallen, known as the Pumpkin' Patch, that bumps the version number to 1.1.249 and brings with it a host of highly anticipated additions, including support for crossplay and significant improvements to New Game+.

There's also a new Halloween event going on right now, with a Jack-o'-lantern helm, complete with stitches for eyes and a crown of thorns, up for grabs, and plenty of spooky season decor adoring Mournstead, as if it wasn't scary enough hanging out around there.

But let's talk about the much-anticipated changes to NG+ - the most important of which is that New Game+ is now entirely tiered, and Vestiges are removed over time to make your experience even more difficult. This increments the more times you go through NG+, so at NG+1 you lose only nine, while at NG+1 you'll lose 14, and so on until you essentially have no Vestiges left at NG+3 aside from Skyrest Bridge and Adyr's Shrine.

Crossplay support is also here, meaning that you can finally play with friends across PCs and consoles. It's something many players have been waiting for, and it's something I'm happy to see has finally been added to the game. There's been a few extra fixes and tweaks in this patch, including fixes to enemy density in some overly-difficult areas, and more performance fixes for PC players.
