Master Chief Collection enters limited testing next week

By FileTrekker 4 years ago, last updated 4 years ago

Registered Halo Insiders, Microsoft's beta testing program for the game, will be able to get their hands on Halo: Reach next week.

There's been a few delays getting there, but starting next week, registered insiders will be able to try the game - but there's a catch - not all insiders will be able to get the opportunity, as only a small number will be granted access.

John Junyszek from 343 Industries posted on the official Halo Waypoint blog;

If everything goes according to plan, our first flight for Halo: Reach on MCC PC will be next week to a small subsection of registered Halo Insiders. We’re starting more modestly because we’ve got quite a few levers to pull and we want to ensure our delivery pipeline runs smoothly, our communications are clear, and that participants can properly provide their feedback on the build. Since there are so many pieces and levers that need testing, verification, and appropriate approvals, we need to take our time to ensure we’re sending out a quality flight to our Halo Insiders.

The game is the first one to be released as part of The Master Chief Collection. The testing will run through Steam at first, interestingly, but will be coming to the Windows 10 Store later in the year.

You can join the Halo Insider program by visiting the official page here, where you can register to be considered to test both the PC and Xbox One versions.
