Love them or hate them, there's no escaping the fact that Fallout and Minecraft are two of the most popular games of this past decade, so it's only natural that they finally come together in Mojang's latest official mashup pack.

It's surprising that the two worlds haven't clashed before, really, but finally Bethesda and Mojang are coming together to re-create a large chunk of Fallout 3 and 4's world in Minecraft - with a whole raft of familiar locations and characters, such as Nick Valentine and Tinker Tom, coming to the game.

Minecraft's UI gets a minor overhaul when playing this DLC pack, too; the UI gets a modest Pip-boy 3000 style makeover, and of course, you'll be able to get a Vault 111 jumpsuit or even a full Vault-boy skin for your character.

There's a lot of updates to the world in general for this, too, for example, cows are now brahmin, and rather predictably, enemies like the creeper make way for feral ghouls and other appropriately fitting Fallout enemies. As mentioned earlier, it's not just Fallout 4 represented here, locations such as Tenpenny Tower and the Capital Building from Fallout 3 make an appearance, too.

Add on top a soundtrack direct from the Fallout games, this makes the $5.99 entry price quite good value for money, especially if you're a big fan of both series. The update has been confirmed for Xbox One / 360, PS3 / PS4, and PS Vita, but no official word yet for a PC release, although we'd be very surprised if it does not make it's way over to the Windows 10 version at the very least.
