It appears that EA can’t keep the lid on Mirror’s Edge 2.

Earlier this week, Amazon listed the game on its Italian and German sites – both with Xbox One mock-up art – and the listings were promptly removed once noticed. While that could be chalked up to a goof at Amazon, the accidental listing of Mirror’s Edge 2 on EA’s support desk is a far more serious mistake, as it comes straight from the publisher. It has, of course, been taken down, but we snagged a screenshot before it was pulled.

DICE has been busy in recent years with the Battlefield Series, but Mirror’s Edge was well-received and liked by the general gaming community, with special praise being heaped on the entertaining parkour mechanics. The sequel has been in announcement limbo for quite a while now, and fans of the original regularly speak up in support of a sequel. Through these leaks, it appears that EA is going to revive the franchise with the next generation of consoles. Specifically, there are questions as to if Mirror’s Edge 2 will be an Xbox One exclusive game.

We’ve contacted EA for comment on this, and will update this story if and when we receive it.
