Ray of Hope is a multiplayer mod experience for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. that is currently under development. The team have recently released a new video showcasing the mod, and the progress the team has made in development so far.

The mod is designed around surviving in the Exclusion Zone with teammates, which can not only be NPC's, but other human players in an online experience. You can join factions, organize raids, search for artefacts or hunt mutants, either alone or with the help of your friends.

The mod has many changes to the base game, including re-balancing the gameplay, a new UI, improved AI, all-new graphics and a new commerce system.

The game engine has also had improvements, which improve the FPS and performance of the game. The map areas have also been opened up, the player can now roam the forest areas, where animals reside within their own designated habitats, which are based on real life animal behaviour.

The mod will also include entirely new weapons and locations, both of which can be seen in the video above.

You can keep track of the mod's progress over at ModDB.
