Exciting news this past week as CD Projekt Red officially revealed that there will indeed be multiplayer coming to the much anticipated Cyberpunk 2077, but sadly not until the single-player content has been fully released, including DLC.
This means that we're looking at a good few months after the game releases. The studio are currently hiring for eight multiplayer-related roles, which gives us an indication that development on the multiplayer component is probably in it's very early stages.
The company confirmed that the main game, releasing in April 2020, is the first step on the road, with the follow-up free DLC being their next priority. Once all the single player content has released, the company will be refocusing on delivering multiplayer.
We had hoped that multiplayer would be coming at some stage, as it has been long hinted at by CD Projekt Red, but it's great to get official confirmation that the feature is on the game's road-map.
Stay tuned to GameFront for more on this as we learn it.
