NieR Automata's Fullscreen Bug fixed by this tweak

Square Enix's newly released game, NieR Automata, suffers from an unfortunate scaling issue in it's PC port when playing in fullscreen, but the issue has now been fixed thanks to the work of Steam user [url=]Kaldaien[/url].

NieR Automata is an all-new action RPG that was released for PS4 and PC in Japan in February, and earlier this month in the rest of the world. Unfortunately, the PC port leaves something to be desired, as is often the case these days. This is a shame, as it's the only primary way to play the game on a platform other than PS4, as the company have ruled out an Xbox One release due to low sales in Japan.

One of the main issues is that, when in fullscreen, the internal scaling resolution is far lower than the native resolution, meaning a lower resolution, pixelated image.

To get the fix to work requires the change of a single inf file that is located in the game's directory. You can find the full change at this S[url=]team link here[/url]. The file also has other optimization settings on the technical side, including the ability to lock the frame rate so as to make the game on recent configurations not very more stable and fluid.
