It's amazing how technology has progressed, things that used to require "high-end" computers to play can now be run in a mere web browser over the internet - it's even possible to run operating systems like Windows 95 itself right in your browser. Now it seems the classic 1996 hack-and-slash Diablo is available too.
The web version is an all-new port of the game which is based on the original source code, but reconstructed from the ground up by two programming teams. It's the shareware version of the game, but if you happened to own the original version and can provide access to the location of the files, it'll run the full game, too.
Interestingly, the team went to the trouble of making sure the port even included all the "badly written code" and bugs that the original had, to ensure it is fully authentic.
You can check out the shareware version and have some retro fun for free over here.
