An odd source you may think, but according to ESPN, Overwatch 2 is in development, and they claim t have proof in the form of a BlizzCon training document, and sources backing up their claims.
The leaked document suggests that the game will focus on PvE with a new narrative and missions, including a four-player campaign set in Rio de Janeiro, featuring "Hero talents and in-game items".
The leak also hints at a new mode called Push coming to the game, with at least one new hero, and a new map based on Toronto, being promised to be playable at this year's BlizzCon, where the game will presumably be confirmed.
Now, there's no official confirmation of any of this of course, but there's no smoke without fire, and ESPN is generally a credible source. Additionally, a Kotaku article from June also had hints towards Overwatch 2 development, which would tie in with this new information.
We will of course bring you all the coverage from BlizzCon, so stay tuned for confirmation.
