Good news for anyone looking to give The Division 2 a try before they buy, as the game is currently available to play for free, with no limits or time restrictions, up until the 17th of June.
You'll need to pay to continue playing after that date, but there's also a sale on to take the sting out of that particular tail, with the standard edition discounted to $40, Gold Edition down to $67, and the Ultimate Edition down to $80.
All you'll need to do is head over to the Ubisoft website, log in and download the client - and if you decide to keep the game after the free window period ends, you'll keep any progress you've made, too.
The game is also free over on consoles on the same terms. The free period co-indices with the first major content release for the game, as the first of the three update episodes has now dropped for the game. The first episode sees players venturing into the outskirts of a post-apcocalyptic Washington D.C.
Episode 2 and 3 will be dropping later this year and into early 2020.
