Resident Evil 3 is the latest game getting the HD makeover thanks to modders, and this one really does look drop-dead amazing, if you pardon the pun.
The Resident Evil 3 Seemless HD Project uses deep learning techniques to upscale the textures within the game to HD quality. It's a fairly new technique on the scene at the moment, and it actually works really, really well.
Ask you can tell from the video above, the difference is astonishing. The mod also includes higher resolution menus, character portraits and some manual re-texturing to complete the effect, and the result is a total package that looks amazing.
The mod is actually for the Nintendo Gamecube version, which leads us into a grey area. You'll need the dolphin emulator to play it, and of course, you'll need to legally own the game and create a backup...
The result though is still pretty special, and you can get the mod now from their official site.
