Resident Evil 4, while a great game, hasn't aged too well graphically, but thanks to this HD texture mod, the game looks like it was released yesterday. The project has now finished the village area, as well the already finished castle area, too. Check out the screenshots below.
The mod features not just new textures, but 3-D lighting and effect adjustments, including more realistic night time lighting effects, improvements to the appearance of the flashlight, and a change in the overall color tone of the game. The models have also been improved greatly with tweaks, adjustments and re-mapping to improve appearances.
While the mod has not yet completed all the available areas, the new village and the already featured castle areas look spectacular, and the mod is around 50% complete as it stands. You can check it out by clicking here and downloading the mod from the official mod project website.
