Riot Games have announced that they're working on a brand new online competitive FPS game, currently known as "Project A", and that it will be unrelated to the League of Legends franchise.
All we know so far is that there's a new team within the company dedicated to the development, and that the game will be unique in it's focus on new technologies to reduce network latency and cheating, hoping to create a new gold standard for e-sports competition.
We've put anti-cheat at the forefront of our development, and we will do whatever it takes to preserve the integrity of your matches
We won't be learning anything more for a while either it seems, as the game is very much in it's early days, and the company will be "going dark" until the game is ready for the spotlight.
The details were revealed as part of the League of Legends 10th anniversary livestream, along with confirmation of a new fighting game also under development.
There was some early footage shown, though, which you can check out in the video above.
