The news broke via Twitter today that an agreement has been reached between troubled developer Telltale Games, and Skybound Games for the latter studio to complete the remaining instalments in The Walking Dead: The Final Season.
The news was also confirmed by Robert Kirkman at New York Comicon, who confirmed that an agreement has been reached for Skybound to complete the game. Skybound Games is actually a division of Skybound Games, which is owned by Kirkman.
Further good news for some former Telltale staff also comes as a quote on IGN suggests that some former Telltale staff will also be coming on board to help Skybound complete the games.
Skybound will work with members of the original Telltale team to finish the story in a way the fans deserve. Skybound will continue to update fans on the status of the game on Skybound.com, Twitter, and Facebook.
Hopefully the news will also see the second episode of The Final Season returned to sale, as it was taken down shortly after Telltale released the game, despite a skeleton crew staying on to see the game to release.
Stay tuned to GameFront for further news as it happens.
