Blizzard fans don’t just expect easter eggs, they demand them — it’s no surprise Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm is full of them. Get a sampling of the silliness you’ll find in the blockbuster RTS with the list below, where you’ll find call-backs to previous entries in the series, strange new characters and angry hill-billies. Maye, Oynx & Diamond
These three characters are found down a side passage in the Roach Evolution Mission.

Bring A Newspaper
On the second mission during Kerrigan’s visit to the planet Char, players can reach an area with the jump equipped. Near the outhouse, there’s a pile that can be clicked called “Terran Biomass.” The description reads: “Something stinks.”
Ready to Form Voltron!
During the mission “Infested” you’ll be able to find five oddly familiar cats that look an awful lot like Voltron. These creatures are making a return from their original appearance in Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty.
The Lich King Returns
Who’s frozen on the ice planet of Kaldir? None other than the Lich King’s armor. This can be found on the mission Harvest of Screams.

Custom Hellion Destruction
In another Evolution mission, destroying a special Hellion will draw the ire of its off-screen owner, crying out that he just finished paying the cherry off.

Tribute to Tournament Casters
Two ambient creatures found in many of the maps are named after Tasteless and Artosis. These two are the english casters of the korean tournament league GSL.
The creatures? They’re named Artosilope and Tastelope.

Dancing Diablo & Marine Murloc
Found in the Brood-Mother Mission taking place inside a Protoss ship, look carefully to find two containers holding a dancing Terran Murloc Marine, and another holding a flaming vision of SC2 Diablo called “Diablo, Lord of Terror.”
