Posted on November 22, 2011, Phil Owen The Doom 3 Source Code is Out Now — Get it!

Hey, everybody. Guess what? The legal wrangling couldn’t keep the Doom 3 source code away from you for very long, and Carmack and co. just had to do a tiny bit of rewriting to avoid patent infringement. Carmack says they just had to add four lines and change two others to make it work.

The code, of course, does not contain any game data, as that’s still a thing id is making money off of. Still, this should be a good starting point for all the bros out there who are into this kind of thing.
